Not terribly much has happened in the last month.
The grass is still growing.. the kids are still asking Why? Why?? Why????
We did purchase a new vehicle though. We realised the importance of having two cars when our neighbours had one of theirs break down... and require major repairs. At least with the second car they are able to get places while the other is in being repaired. We don't have, or didn't have that luxury until now! (We just have to get it roadworthy and registered first!!) We are happy though as it's not too bad looking, it's a 4wd and it will be just enough to take us to Bribie on the odd weekends, or to Fraser Island... or Double Island Pt... Rainbow Beach.... the list goes on and on and on... Bundy already know's where he goes!
Work is going well for both of us. Stu had some time off in the last couple of weeks to cover some surgery I was having and to be home for the return of Pen & Ben from their year.. oops... 3 years in London!!! They are currently visiting Ben's parents in Port Macquarie before coming back to Brissy, to live with Soni & Rod until they find jobs and a house.. a dog etc!
I've been sick with the flu/cold... lost my voice (wahoooooo says Stu!) but it seems in losing that I found my cooking gene.. I've been doing things from scratch (this from a store bought bottle girl...) spaghetti, lasagna incl the bechemel sauce! puddings, cookies, pancakes... I even made a Massaman Curry and Spring Rolls... they are sooo freaking time consuming! Very tasty though!
Nothing Beats Bow Thai's Yellow Curry.. but I guess my one will have to do cause it doesn't cost me anything to make now that I have all the ingredients in the cupboard! (Who woulda thunk that Fish Sauce was in it! Not I!!! Stinky!)
I'm going to escape to bed and hope that the bedroom stays dark enough to give me a small sleep in for the morning, before I go and spend 3 hours of my Saturday in a classroom learning about Emergent Curriculum... It's just sooo much fun! After this course is done though I have done my learning for the year which is nice.. 10 hours isn't too much I suppose!
Nighty Night.
