No seriously... am I???
Hayley (other FDC Carer who lives across the road) and I are in the process of setting up a Party Planning business where we will do Kids Parties or Child Minding at larger events such as weddings, 40th's etc. (Saves the parents finding individual baby sitters and worrying about their kids all night!!)
Do I really want to have this much on my plate????
I've already started a blog and created a gmail email address for the Business... let's see where it takes us hey??
Kyles & Jen - do you think you'd use something like this????

Interesting Jess. At playgroup when we do things together we often find it hard to get babysitters and doing it together makes sense. I guess the one thing that would put mums off is geting children to settle when they may not be in their own homes. But it souinds like a great idea. and kids birthday parties are a huge money spinner. My sisters oplay centre at Strathpine is always booked out with parties. And the kids went to a party on the weekend and a lady came with dinosaur costumes and they did dinosaur dances etc. They LOVED it! Good luck with it.
Jess you know I am ever practical and conservative. I think the idea of babysitting at weddings etc is fantastic! Hosting the kids parties are great too - I would think most mums/dads would want to come along so the babysitting aspect wouldn't be so necessary? (not the expert on this bit - only been to one kids party so far!) What about insurance, disclaimers, venues (weddings - room off to the side??). What is the web address? Also I would tend to be really clear about the service you offer and start with that first - expand once you know more about what is a money spinner for you??? Good luck you little entrepeneur you! If only I liked strangers kids - I would work for you!
