I certainly timed this sickness thing well... 2 long weekends in a row = less sickleave taken by me!
On the recovery front all is well.. I took my last pain killers on Tuesday around lunch time and nothing since. I go back to see the doc tomorrow to get my work clearance and checkup. I can't believe that all I have to show for all that pain is three little scars and a drain hole (that still hasn't healed fully!)
I'm still having issues with food though.... I'm not in pain - but if I am not close to a toilet watch out.... It's like Oliver's Curry Butt! It's working well with the scales though.. the weight continues to slowly go down. I had a Chicken and Cheese Sandwich yesterday at lunch.. not cool.... Baked Beans on Toast this morning for breakfast... not good either.... yet... Pancakes and Maple Syrup just fine? Go Figure!
Had my hair done on Monday - it's all red and perty! Tuesday I spent with Damian at his work.. Helped him with some filing and envelope stuffing. Learnt that being a Plasterer is expensive stuff... A dude came in and brought a $3000 tool without even blinking an eyelid! Wednesday I prepared a lovely lunch to share with Stu and we sat near the council office and just spent time together. I got to meet the now infamous Marcus.. who is a really lovely guy, learnt the meaning of kilf and saw that Stu didn't have a photo of me on his desk.. I have organised one for him!!
Today I saw Mum and the Boys and we went out to Orion Shopping Centre at Springfield. I had heard all about it - everywhere but wasn't all that impressed.. they don't even have a Hanachi... I stopped at Chermside on my way home to fill my craving for Teriyake Chicken! I've been chilling all afternoon and am going to be going to bed pretty soon. Tomorrow contains my Dr. Appt and not much else... I'll be thankful for the break. I'll be looking on as Damian moves tomorrow... (another good timing effort on my part!) and just relaxing for the rest of the weekend until back to work on Tuesday (NOT COOL!!!)
We are going camping to Booloumba Creek with the boys on the Mothers Day weekend. Figured the best present mum could receive was to be without them for a couple of days. It'll be new for them, they've never been without their computer/playstation/noise for more than a few hours... We'll see how it goes!!
Welcome to MAY!
